    In addition to sleep studies, the Cardiopulmonary Department at St. Francis Hospital also provides respiratory care, which is a specialty dedicated to the treatment, management, control and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with breathing. Using inpatient and outpatient therapeutic and diagnostic services, St. Francis utilizes respiratory therapists to provide comprehensive care. Some treatments include oxygen therapy, ventilator management, high-risk delivery support, airway stabilization and airway management.

    Other tests performed in our Cardiopulmonary Department include:

    • Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)
    • Holter Monitor (24 and 48 hours)
    • Event Monitor (worn for 30 days)
    • Exercise Stress Test
    • Nuclear Stress Test (exercise and pharmacological)
