    At St. Francis Hospital, employee benefits are just the beginning. These benefits reflect the hospital's commitment to, and appreciation of, the professionals who provide the quality health care our community has come to expect.

    Our employee benefit package is in effect for both full- and part-time employees (two or more days a week) and includes:

    Insurance
    Qualified employees benefit from health, dental and group life insurance. Supplemental life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance is available for employees and their family members. Long-term disability insurance is available for the employee only.

    Paid Time Off
    St. Francis Hospital employees accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) to cover all vacancies from work. PTO is accrued based on hours worked and years of service.

    Holidays
    New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas are observed. Those working on these days receive premium pay.

    Pension
    Employees are automatically vested in this free program after five years of employment.

    Tax Deferred Annuities
    Investment opportunities are available through payroll deduction.

    Credit Union Membership
    Employees have the opportunity to join an established credit union for healthcare employees.

    Direct Deposit
    Employees are paid by direct deposit to the bank or financial institution of their choice.

    Employee Assistance Program
    Employees and immediate family members have the option of meeting with a counselor at no charge for concerns related to personal, financial or work-related issues. This professional program is strictly confidential.

    Short Term Disability
    All eligible employees are covered, at no cost, b our Short Term Disability program. The plan pays you 70% of your regular wages if you need to miss work for longer than three days due to personal illness.

    Premium Pay
    Premium levels of pay, from time and a ¼ to double time are paid for unscheduled shifts, PRN and relief and weekend-only option employees. Overtime is paid at time and ½ for all hours worked over 40 in a work week.

    Shift Differential
    Working evening or night shifts is compensated with a shift differential of 6% of your base hourly rate with a minimum of $1 per hour.

    Funeral Leave
    Up to 24 hours of pay is available for bereavement needs for the loss of immediate family members.

    Jury Leave
    Employees required to serve jury duty are paid for their leave.

    Leaves of Absence
    Leaves of Absence (LOAs) are available for personal, health, family and military needs.
