Laboratory
LaboratoryOur full-service, on-site laboratory is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and performs hundreds of tests each day. In fact, in the past year alone, our team performed over 300,000 procedures – providing patients and physicians with the foundation for their diagnosis and treatment.
Common tests performed in our lab include complete blood counts (CBC), chemistry and lipid profiles. We can also accommodate all physician requests either in-house or through a reference lab with excellent turnaround times. This includes all acute care testing such as:
- Full Hematology/Coagulation
- General Chemistry and Blood Gases
- Urine Chemistry
- Immunology
- Microbiology
- Blood Bank/Transfusion Services
- Surgical Pathology and Cytology
- Specialized Esoteric Testing (5% sent out to a reference lab)
We are also a collection facility for NIDA Urine Drug Screens for the Department of Transportation.
All results from tests performed in our lab or through a reference lab are faxed to the patient's physician for review, consultation and diagnosis.
Our lab team consists of 17 people including 11 medical technologists, three medical laboratory technicians, one histology technician, and two medical secretaries. We also have a pathologist on site as a member of our Medical Staff who provides lab services three days a week.
