Billing & Insurance

For both inpatient and outpatient services, we will submit the necessary claims to your insurance company once you have been discharged from the hospital.  You will not receive a bill from the hospital until after your insurance company has processed your claim and provided us with payment advice. Your insurance company should provide you with an explanation of benefits (EOB) indicating any balance you will have to pay.

In addition to our hospital services, we use several physician groups to provide professional services to our patients. Because of this, a separate professional fee will be billed if you receive any of the following services:

• Anesthesiology
• Pathology
• Radiology

St. Francis Hospital also bills separately for Emergency Room charges and Emergency Room physician fees.
